Meet Whitney

Whitney Knox Lee (she/her) is an attorney, mediator, race equity consultant, and creator of Impostrix Podcast. Whitney has been a licensed attorney in Georgia since 2014. Over the past 12 years, she has worked at the Georgia Legal Services Program and at Southern Center for Human Rights.

Whitney has litigated cases involving a multitude of legal issues on behalf of low-income and incarcerated individuals, including landlord/tenant law, family law, wills and estates, disability law, and class action civil rights and prison law cases. Whitney launched the estate planning legal practice Wills for the People in 2024. Through Wills for the People, Whitney makes estate planning accessible to underserved communities, emphasizing the needs of middle-class Black households. She aims to advance racial wealth equity throughout Georgia.

Additionally, Whitney is a trained mediator and earned her transformative mediation certificate from the Institute on Conflict Transformation. She uses transformative mediation to assist individuals in resolving disputes in legal and non-legal settings, including assisting non-profit law firms with conflict resolution among employees.

Whitney is passionate about promoting anti-racism, racial equity, and inclusion in the law, in the workplace and beyond. To advance these principles, Whitney founded W. Knox Lee Consulting & Mediation, where she supports individuals, organizations, and communities while fostering cultural humility, access, true equity, and inclusivity. Whitney has previously served as affiliate faculty of Shriver Center on Poverty Law (Closed 2025), having taught Foundations for Racial Justice and Supervising for Quality and Impact programs. Whitney has provided public trainings and workshops on anti-racism and DEI principles, conducting organizational equity audits, and providing policy and strategic planning support to employers.

In July 2023, Whitney launched her passion project, Impostrix Podcast. This show validates professionals of color navigating imposter experiences and racial toxicity in their career. Through Impostrix, Whitney makes valuable tools accessible so viewers can understand, navigate, and dismantle white supremacy at work. Impostrix Podcast centers the lived experiences of people of color in the workforce and provides a validating and educational experience for all who listen.

Whitney is a devoted wife and proud mother to Black children. She enjoys delicious food, challenging puzzles, and exploring cultures through food, travel, and rest.
