Power of Attorney for Minor Children and Guardianships

How can a Power of Attorney help children?

Standby Guardian Designation (for Minor Child)

A legal document designating who should care for your minor children for up to 4 months if you (and any other parent/guardian) are alive but unable to do so. This document is especially helpful for single parents as it gives permission for someone else to step into the role of parent/guardian temporarily.

Power of Attorney for the Care of a Minor Child

A legal document authorizing a relative living in Georgia to care for minor children when a parent needs them to. This is great for parents who frequently travel without their children, or for family members who are helping to raise minors that they are legally related to (but are not their legal parent/guardian).
